The devil says, "No one will ever know." That's true in any kind of temptation. God sees everything in my life, and he is always with me. I find that in temptation of any kind, I need to continually remind myself of God's omniscience and omnipresence. Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) says, "Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life." Maintaining that daily walk with the Lord is absolutely imperative. It's very important that we watch our manners. Keep a close watch on your spiritual temperature.īe aware of your own level of commitment on a daily basis. We should have a holy fear of ever thinking we're beyond temptation.Ģ. Given the right circumstances and set of events, you can't tell what you'd do. That's what God says about my heart - and your heart. Who can understand it?" That means every person has his or her price. Jeremiah 17:9 (NIV) says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who's going to get robbed? The guy who thinks he's never going to get robbed. It's like the person who believes he's never going to be robbed, so he never locks his doors, never bolts down his windows, and leaves his money lying all around. Proverbs 16:18 (NIV) says, "Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall." The morning I say, "I've conquered that problem," that's the morning I'm open for temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:12 (LB) says, "So be careful if you are thinking, 'Oh, I'd never behave like that.' Let this be a warning to you, for you too may fall into sin." None of us are invulnerable. The first defense is an attitude of humility that says, "I'm a human being." We need to watch out. We need to be aware how vulnerable all of us are.

People say, "It couldn't happen to me." That's a bunch of baloney. Never consider yourself above temptation.ĭon't kid yourself. How can you maintain moral integrity as a minister? The Integrity of God defines God’s integrity and how it operates in behalf of all Christians, from our salvation to our spiritual life to our rewards in heaven. Divine integrity ensures that the God of love and grace is neither sentimental nor partial nor indecisive toward anyone. Grace is the expression of God’s love and integrity and the uncompromising policy of His justice. Divine integrity coordinates with divine love together they form one perfect, inviolable system through which God deals with the human race in grace. The integrity of God is composed of two divine attributes-perfect righteousness and absolute justice.

God has always possessed integrity as part of His eternal, infinite, perfect essence. All the attributes of His essence form one consistent, indivisible whole-His total person-and each attribute works together in complete harmony for the ultimate good of the believer. The unbending strength of God’s essence is fully behind everything He does or sponsors. The Integrity of God assures mankind that absolute trust in perfect God is always well-placed.
